About technical re - equipment of sewer clearing constructions

The basic nature protection objects of PSC "Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill" are common centre clearing constructions with capacity 69 thousand cubic meters sewage per day, accepting for clearing drains not only from cardboard and paper production, but also sewage of enterprises of Tripolye industrial unit and municipal drains of Obukhov town. After a cycle of full biological clearing with additional cleaning, each stage of which is supervised by the laboratory, the cleared sewage are dumped in the Dnieper river with observance of the norms of maximum permissible dump established for the Mill. Significant means are allocated for technical re - equipment, modernization of common centre clearing constructions.

Installation of lattices for preliminary clearing of rough and heavy inclusions on trays of acting drains of complex clearing constructions has provided catching rough mechanical impurity of sewage, not supposing their hit in sediment bowls and air tanks.

With the purpose of improvement of conditions of biological sewage treatment within 2002-2008, replacement of air pipes in all sections of air tanks of the first and second stages, neutralizer, the aerobic stabilizer was made.

In 2006-2008 replacement of the pressure-blowing equipment of clearing constructions to installations with adjustable productivity of firm HV-TURBO (Denmark) was made.

Instead of vacuum-filters in mechanical dewatering department two filter-presses and a lattice for catching rough impurity by firm Hans Huber AG (Germany) were installed, and also two filter-presses "Eko - Pro" (Berdichev) were established.

Replacement of filtering elements of sand and gravel filters of the block of additional cleaning of drains is made step- by - step.

About results of introduction of actions on decrease in water consumption, water removal and quantity of deposits of sewage

During the last years a number of actions on optimization of water consumption and water removal were introduced at the Mill. As a result, significant decrease in consumption of fresh water as a whole on the Mill on 13%, including on paper production on 54% was reached.

Since 2005, unit discharges of fresh water were lowered by manufacture of recycled tissue paper on 65%, pulp tissue paper - on 64%.

Owing to installation in 2005 of flotation equipment for clearing utilizable waters, the quantity of the sewage coming on sewer clearing constructions, has decreased for 23%.

Installation on local clearing constructions in 2003 of the equipment on dewatering waste has reduced twice receipt of a deposit by sewer clearing constructions.

The introduction of actions planned on 2008 on withdrawal of a deposit from waters on paper production and local clearing constructions will enable to deduce a part of the weighed substances from structure of sewage even before their receipt on local and sewer clearing constructions.
