Social Responsibility and Strengthening Human Capital: Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill’s 2025 Performance Review

People are the top priority: In 2025, Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill PJSC once again confirmed its reputation as a socially responsible enterprise with a strong human resources policy. The company not only ensures uninterrupted production but also strengthens social initiatives aimed at employees, the local community, and the defenders of Ukraine. The key message of the past year is that investment in the team and in good deeds is the foundation for future growth.

For more than four decades, Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill has been a town-forming enterprise in Obukhiv and one of the largest industrial employers in the capital region. Today, the mill provides stable employment for over 2,500 people, forming the economic core of the community, maintaining high social standards, and preserving its human capital even in wartime.

Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill offers decent pay and career opportunities to professionals

According to Olha Komar, Director for Administrative and Legal Affairs and Human Resources Management at Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill, salaries at the enterprise are 1.6 times higher than the average level in Kyivska oblast. This reasoned policy enables the company to attract and retain qualified specialists even in challenging economic conditions.

The mill invests in its human capital by working systematically with young professionals and offering them attractive career opportunities. Kyiv CPM’s HR department actively cooperates with educational institutions, organizes job fairs, and holds presentations for students, engaging a new generation in future employment at the enterprise.

This year, Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill introduced a special support program for young employees.
Employees under the age of 25 who have conscientiously worked at the enterprise for more than one year are eligible for a one-time financial payment. More than UAH 1.5 million was allocated from KCPM’s budget in 2025 to implement this initiative, which is part of a comprehensive strategy to attract young talent and retain them within the company’s structure.

This approach not only motivates the youth to stay at the mill but also addresses several important objectives:

– building a talent pool of promising specialists;

– increasing staff loyalty;

– encouraging young employees toward long-term cooperation.

Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill demonstrates a high level of social responsibility

In 2025 alone, the enterprise allocated several million hryvnias to good causes, supporting employees, the local community, internally displaced persons, and defenders of Ukraine. Currently, one in ten Kyiv CPM employees performs military service, and the mill, on its own initiative and beyond legal requirements, maintained their average salaries. Families of mobilized employees also receive systematic financial support.

Kyiv CPM’s social initiatives go beyond corporate programs and humanitarian missions. The company actively supports socially important projects, including the preservation of Obukhiv district’s cultural heritage and environmental education initiatives, fostering community cohesion and improving the quality of life in the region.

Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill finishes 2025 with stable results in social welfare and human capital development. This outcome demonstrates that investment in people is a key factor in stability and growth.
