Kyiv CPM together with A.Celli (Italy) has completed the first phase of PMM-2 reconstruction. The transition has been completed to new versions of international standards ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 : 2015 Environmental Management System. Two additional Bobst Flexo Vision 160 printing units were installed on the Vision Cut 160 converting line in order to expand the range of sophisticated die-cutting products. Kyiv CPM launched a new range of paper products TM SoffiPRO for the HoReCa segment. A new Altair 160 GL folding and gluing line from Vega, Italy, was commissioned in November 2018. The next phase of the modernisation of the chalk plant at the cardboard production facility was completed. Kyiv CPM won the Ukrainian rating “Honest Taxpayers – 2018”.
Kyiv CPM has completed the reconstruction of CМM-1 together with Andritz Company. The events carried out as part of a large-scale programme of technical re-equipment of coated cardboard production, which will improve the quality characteristics of the cardboard and enter new markets. On 1 April 2019, the Kyiv CPM passed a certification audit for compliance with the Halal standard, which demonstrates that no ingredients whose use is prohibited by Shariah are used at all stages of production. In July 2019, Kyiv CPM launched a new Bobst Masterline 2.1 corrugated packaging line, which will increase corrugated packaging production and enable the development of SRP packaging. KCPM replaced the water-ring pumps in the CММ-1 and CМM-2 vacuum systems, which resulted in reduced electricity consumption. A complete modernisation of the pulp flow was also carried out with replacement of pumps and agitators . On 12 November 2019, the Kyiv CPM successfully passed its third FSC supply chain audit, which confirms that the mill is an environmentally responsible enterprise and adheres to responsible forest management principles. For the second time in a row, Kyiv CPM received the honorary title “Honest Taxpayers – 2019”.
In July, the Kyiv CPM received the national award for FMGG producers “Made in Ukraine 2020”. In November 2020, Kyiv CPM was the first in the CIS countries to install the Flatmount-3000 mounting table, this equipment for mounting flexographic printing plates, which will improve the quality of cutting and save up to 25% of consumables. The company has implemented new international standards ISO 45001 and ISO 50001, these standards of process management regulate the work of companies on labor safety and energy saving. The mill won the nomination for “Best Enterprise to Implement a Risk Management System” for 2020. The Kyiv CPM once again won the Honest Taxpayers -2020 title.
On 19-21 January PJSC Kyiv CPM has successfully passed re-certification audit to confirm compliance with international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Also the mill passed the certification audit for compliance with international standards ISO 45001:2018 “Healthcare Management System” and ISO 50001:2018 “Energy Management System”. In the autumn, the mill confirmed the international certification scheme FSSC 22000 v.5.1 and FSC. In December 2021, Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill launched a new line for the production of egg trays in 10 piece and boxes in 30 piece formats.
Due to the onset of a full-scale invasion this year, Kyiv CPM has dedicated its primary focus to providing assistance to the defense of the country and the communities of the Kyiv region and the nation, which have been most severely affected by the devastation. Despite these challenges, we independently launched a new Mitsubishi production line, significantly expanding our capabilities in packaging with intricate die-cutting. Additionally, this year, we successfully underwent a surveillance audit, confirming the validity of the ISO 45001:2018 certification from DEKRA Certification GmbH.
