On December 11th, the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill warmly welcomed esteemed guests, including representatives from the Austrian Embassy in Ukraine.

Dr. Georg Weingartner, the Trade Advisor of the Embassy, and Mr. Volodymyr Khomenko, an expert in foreign economic activity from the trade department, had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the intricacies of the mills’ operations. The guests were given a tour of the paper and cardboard production facilities, as well as the corrugated cardboard manufacturing workshop. They had a firsthand experience of witnessing the operations of one of the largest industrial companies in the Kyiv region.

This visit wasn’t the first for Austrian diplomats, given that Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill is under the ownership of Pulp Mill Holding, based in Austria. Consequently, the European side holds a deep interest in ensuring the sustainability and security of its investments in Ukraine.

Despite the challenging contemporary conditions and the imperative for modernization, Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill continues to operate robustly. It stands as a significant contributor to both state and local budgets. Additionally, the mill actively participates in charitable activities, acknowledging its pivotal role as a major Ukrainian business with European investments, especially during these times of war, in supporting the national economy.
