An alternative solution for poultry farms: Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill enters the molded container market

Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (KCPM) has introduced durable, stylish and environmentally friendly food packaging for eggs to the Ukrainian market. It provides reliable transportation and storage and is attractive to the end consumer.

New lines for the production of moulded egg containers were launched at Kyiv CPM, an Austrian-owned enterprise (shareholder – Pulp Mill Holding), at the end of 2023.

“A new player and fair competition always revitalize and boost the industry market,” the poultry farmers note.

Relying on the capabilities of Ukrainian production facilities, analyzing samples of similar domestic products, and based on the quality of its products, KCPM has chosen key areas in the field of cast containers – from the budget to the premium segment.

At the same time, Kyiv CPM has significant advantages compared to Western premium standards: shorter distance of dispatch, no customs clearance and no currency exchange rate risks.

In addition, taking the consideration the location of the company’s production facilities in Kyivska oblast, customers can receive the packaging without delays. This is an important aspect of handling with products that have a limited shelf life.

For small poultry farms and farmings, a significant advantage is the ability to individually color the packaging of small batches, which provides unique opportunities for them to stand out on the store shelf.

Today, KCPM’s product range includes egg containers of various configurations, as well as humped seals. The containers are adapted to different egg sizes: S, M, and L. In addition, the European quality and appearance of the containers and seals make them neater, more aesthetically attractive, and more pleasant to the touch, which is important for the buyer.

Another benefit for consumers is that Kyiv CPM is a leader in corrugated packaging. Thus, it can satisfy all customer needs and requests: from wholesale to individual packaging and labelling.

An important point is that the waste paper for cardboard is highly purified, exceeding generally accepted food safety requirements.

The company assures that entering the molded egg container market is only the first step in a large-scale project to develop a new direction.

“KCPM plans to develop in this segment seriously and for a long time,” the company emphasized. – “In the future, we also plan to expand our business based on customer needs. This will give us opportunity to better represent the products of Ukrainian farmers on both the domestic and global markets.”
