As a company with foreign investments (owned by Austrian Pulp Mill Holding), activity of Kyiv CPM is based on the principles of environmental friendliness and responsibility to society.
The symbolic action to create a “national” embroidered towel is important both in terms of environmental education and in the context of engaging the local community.
In particular, this autumn, Kyiv CPM organized eco-quests for Obukhiv schoolchildren and a large-scale waste paper collection event, attended by citizens and young people.
“Every year the management of Cardboard and Paper Mill in Obukhiv organize interesting and useful events for people, but this year they have simply outdone themselves. The national record is an extraordinary event that will draw the attention of the whole country to our town and its unique traditions,” – say the guests of the holiday.
The representatives of the mill emphasize that the European approach to social responsibility is based not only on the full payment of statutory taxes and fees, but also on the implementation of humanitarian initiatives aimed at uniting the community. This is an important position of the Austrian owner.
Dr Heinz Zinner, Director of PMH, considers that the company`s greatest value is its people
Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill is one of the largest industrial producers not only in Obukhivskyi district, but also in Ukraine. Dr Heinz Zinner explains that the mill provides jobs for 2.500 employees and is in fact a budget-forming enterprise. The mill offers its employees and their families:
● its own outpatient clinic;
● a health insurance system;
● a sports complex;
● a canteen at affordable prices.
“It`s not just about Kyiv CPM team any more, it`s about a large production family. That is why we do the best to ensure that people feel secure and motivated through competitive remuneration and benefits packages,” emphasizes Dr Zinner.
Caring for the environment, combined with the introduction of innovative technologies, is another of the key values of Kyiv CPM and its owner.
Today, the international paper industry is focused on manufacturing products from recycled materials. And Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill is a leader in this field in Ukraine, offering modern environmental solutions in production.
The company has established a full waste paper recycling cycle: from sorting and collecting raw materials to manufacturing high-quality certified products. The manufacturer has organized collection points where both individual consumers and large enterprises and retail chains can take back used cardboard containers and paper. This approach not only minimizes environmental pollution but also makes the mill`s products profitable for customers. Moreover, it provides additional tax revenues for the state and the community.
