For Kyiv CPM, a leader in the pulp and paper industry, the year began with the completion of several long-term projects aimed at updating and improving production processes. The modernization of equipment will definitely have a positive impact on the quality of certain types of the company`s products, which will pleasantly surprise consumers.
KCPM`s own investments are a confident step into the future of the business
Any equipment over time needs to be repaired and modernized. Not only production performance, but also the safety of employees depends on the state of the company`s technical equipment. At Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill, owned by Pulp Mill Holding with Heinz Zinner as the ultimate beneficiary, this aspect is top priority. Modernization of the foreign-made equipment used in the company`s production facilities requires significant investments. However, attracting serious investments during the war is an extremely difficult task. Despite these difficulties the mill is not ready to sacrifice the opportunity for stable operation and development, so it is currently investing its own funds in progressive projects. The new equipment is expected to be not only reliable and efficient, but also to give the company a competitive advantage on the market.
New equipment means safety, quality and efficiency
The replacement of the cutting machines at the toilet paper production line of the popular Obukhiv 65 brand took more than a year, but the expectations were justified. The cutters that divide the long, sleeveless rolls into the usual size rolls are now even sharper and more accurate, so the product has a neater and more attractive appearance, but this is not the only advantage of the new equipment. The machine`s operation enables to reduce the consumption of base paper by 2.5%. This is completely in line with the strategy of KCPM, where one of the main directions is rational resource use, so many processes are currently being restructured to achieve the savings goals.
