Being a donor is a conscious choice, and a noble and important mission of Kyiv CPM. From year to year, the mill`s employees donate blood to save lives. As a large taxpayer, the company fills the budget with payments and fees and allocates funds for humanitarian projects, because finance is as important for the country`s economy as blood for the human body.
The donation is very developed and widespread in the EU. The social responsibility of business is not limited to the financial component, but includes a wide range of good deeds and volunteer initiatives. Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill, as an affiliate of the Austrian Pulp Mill Holding, is guided by European humanitarian values in its activities in Ukraine.
The idea of donation is to share selflessly with those who need it most of all.
For several years the company, which has production facilities in Kyivska oblast, has been holding traditional Donor Days. In wartime, this is especially important, as the need for blood products has increased significantly. Therefore, on own initiative, in 2022-2023 Kyiv CPM held charity blood donations on a regular basis – there were three donation events last year.

Employees of the mill did not stand aside this year. In February, they once again held the Donor Day. 112 employees of Kyiv CPM replenished the national blood bank with another 50 litres.
“The enterprise is a living organism, because people are its main value. At Kyiv CPM we have found the driving energy in the things that are most important to us. Our responsibility lies in our commitments to 2.5 thousand employees, the Obukhiv community and people affected by Russian aggression. Our strength is in our constant work,” emphasized the company officials.
Not without reason words “donation” and “donate” are related.
Financial contributions are as important for the life of a community as blood for the human body. Thanks to the continuous work of the team, Kyiv CPM is a reliable economic pillar of the capital region in these difficult times.

The company allocated almost UAH 100 million of voluntary contributions to humanitarian projects in cooperation with volunteer organizations and diplomatic missions.
In 2022 and 2023 Kyiv CPM paid UAH 2.5 billion to the budgets of various levels. In February 2024 two companies of the group were recognized by the Obukhiv Town Council as the top employers and largest taxpayers in the community. These are PJSC Kyiv CPM and Vtorresursy Kyiv CPM, which, despite external challenges and unfavourable market conditions, have increased budget contributions over the past year compared to previous periods.

This result was achieved, among others, thanks to support from the parent company.
“It is our principled stance to pay taxes and contribute to the budgets of various levels. We recognize the importance of tax revenues in a difficult period for Ukraine, so this issue is currently under special control. In addition, we do our best to ensure that our employees and their families feel socially protected. We are grateful to the community for recognizing our contribution to the support of the economy and mutual trust,” emphasized Dr. Heinz Zinner, CEO of Pulp Mill Holding.
Last year, the Austrian owner invested over EUR 4 million in the mill`s production and social initiatives. In view of the fact that during this period the mill increased the volume of commercial products, in 2024 the management of the holding decided to invest EUR 12.5 million in further modernization of the enterprise.
Thus, Kyiv CPM and its parent company fully implement the European philosophy of donation, both literally and figuratively, supporting the vital activity of the community and the Ukrainian economy.
